CHECK MATE

Blue was the underling theme here when putting together this outfit piece. All items in this outfit excluding my shoes and clutch had a hint or was was blue. I have featured the Zara guipure lace top in a previous look and here I am featuring it again in the navy version.

This time around, I am wearing a sheer top over it so as not to expose too much skin. In the spring season where the weather can be a bit temperamental the sheer top allows use to show off the lace top underneath and also stay warm when it does unexpectedly get chilly. This is a relaxed look for those outings weekend outings with the girls.

NAIL PAINT OF THE WEEK: NAILS INC. SEYMOUR WALK

I settled for the hot pink polish 'Seymour Walk' from nails inc. as my nail paint of the week. Given the current weather condition in London, it is the perfect shade to add a bit of brightness to the gloom and doom that surrounds me. I also haven't had a hot pink shade on for a year or two now so a small part of me was a bit eager to give it a go.

I only applied two coats of Seymour Walk and that was enough for its true finishing colour to show through before I finished things off with the Kensington Caviar base coat which I am absolutely loving at the moment.

Pink Lady in ASOS Wiggle Dress

There's no time like the current period to bring out those summer dresses and the ASOS wiggle dresses is currently one of my favourites. I love love the structured fit of the dress as it's not often that I find a dress that fits firmly around the waist without me having to adjust it.

It's the kind of dress I will be wearing to church or those fun social gatherings in the summer and another one of those pieces that I will be sure to wear more than once this season.

This particular style may be sold out but ASOS do still have a few variations of the wiggle dress available online so you can pop over to their website to buy yourself one if you happen to like what you see here.

NAIL PAINT OF THE WEEK: NAILS INC. WELLINGTON SQUARE

Wellington Square
Kensington Caviar base coat, Kensington Caviar top coat and Wellington Square

The Bright Side collection I ordered from nails inc. turned up and the first on my list to try out was wellington square, a peachy pastel shade. Having worn different shades of blue for the past few weeks, it was time to change things up a bit I thought and It is also an ideal shade for the spring season, likely to compliment that spring wardrobe.

I also tried out the nails inc. Kensington Caviar base and top coat for the first time and I have to say I was really impressed with their top coat. I will be investing in a full sized bottle soon enough. I only applied one coat as I was in a hurry and it really does touch dry in 45 seconds like it says. It is definitely worth getting and having in your collection if you dont already have one.

How I Wear My Midi For Work

A simple way to rock the midi skirt to work during the spring/summer period. I find the midi skirts to be a conservative piece of garment so in my opinion it can quite easily fit in with the work look.

All you really need to work with it is a blouse or shirt to go along with it and then you are good to go! A nice white shirt would also work quite well this look.

Spring It

Following on from my fashion look post earlier this week, I am still carrying on with the pastel theme. This time round I have teamed by mint green skirt along with a thin strap vest top with a belt in place to hold it together. The hot pink heels adds a touch of colour making the outfit more fun and relaxed.

Nasty Gal Midnight Run Jumpsuit

This jumpsuit first came out to play on my own birthday this year and I followed it up with another outing pictured here. To me jumpsuits are the go to pieces when you dont know what to wear because they require such little styling effort. All you need to worry about is the footwear and possible jewellery pieces, then you are good to go. Excuse my picture quality, it was taken off my iPhone which can sometimes produce fuzzy looking picture like these. One picture for one simple black jumpsuit.

The Limited Nails Inc. Collections

Blossom  Collection

Glow  On Collection

Heatwave Collection

Soft Focus Collection

Its back! The £20 limited edition collections from nails inc. are back and this time round, there are more options to choose from and not only that, you have until the 16th of May to scoop up a collection or two. There's plenty of time to treat yourself but I wouldn't wait around till the last minute because the popular collections may very well be gone.

I've already helped myself to the heatwave collection which I missed out on last time because I left it to the last minute so I will be looking forward to getting my hands on that later this week.

I was tempted to get another collection but I will just wait until the next limited collection release to be naughty. Given that I added two of the gel effects shades to my basket, I think I will have enough shades to cover me for the next few weeks so it will just be the heatwave collection for me this time around.

At £20 for a collection of 8 nail varnishes, you just can't go wrong. Will you be getting a collection or two?

PASTEL POWER

Spring always seems like the best time to parade the candy hues in your closet and thats exactly what I'm doing right here, teaming my mint crossover blouse with my pale bubblegum pink skirt. Its quite a conservative look but the colours deter the outfit from being too serious. A perfect look for church or any of those weekend outings I say.
