Need Want Now: Topshop thigh high boots...

Topshop thigh high boots

First up on my list this week are these over the knee thigh high boots by Topshop unique which is currently only available online.  I have been dying to get myself a pair of over the knee boots for quite some time now so the minute I came across these I knew I had to have them.

Unfortunately for me the first time I spotted them online, it was completely sold out so out went my dreams of having these in my possession. I could have given up on the idea of these boots but i didn't and low and behold they were restocked online a couple of days a go and luckily for me they still had the popular size 39 in stock (happy times :D).

I have now ordered a pair and hopefully I love them just as much I thought I would from seeing them online. I cannot wait to create some new winter style looks with these bad boys, thats for sure. If you have happen to like what you see then hurry and snag up yours from the Topshop website before the inevitable happens!

Zara printed leather court shoes

I've had my eyes on these babies for quite sometime now and I think its about time I made them mine. I love the sleek cut out which exposes the arch of your foot. For me that oozes all kinds of sexiness. I will be salivating on these Zara printed leather court shoes until I invest in a pair of Christian Louboutin So Kates. If like myself you are drooling over these then you can snap up a pair from the Zara stores or their website.

No. 40 Extreme Purple, No.46 Poivre Noir and No. 45 Piment D'ailleurs

To get into the spirit of halloween, I wanted to go for a blood red shade and fortunately or unfortunately, I had the option of three varied shades to choose from.  I settled on the middle shade, Poivre Noir only because I was yet to actually wear that shade on my nails.

Poivre Noir and Extreme Purple are quite similar with Extreme Purple being a smidgin darker than Poivre Noir. I dont think I did a good job of picking that up with my photography so hopefully my little explanation to distinguish the difference you might not see visually from the pictures.

As you know, I cannot fault Yves Saint Laurent's nail varnish because it's quite simply one of the best in the world of nail varnish. They are always consistent in terms of its mixtures making for a smooth application taking away the need to layering on several coats before achieving the desired shade.

As always, I apply my base coat first before applying three coats of my chosen nail varnish shade and finally finishing things off with a top coat.

You can pick up Ysl's Poivre Noir nail varnish varnish from a number of retail outlets such and I picked mine up from Selfridges.

Giuseppe Zanotti Ester Heels

Over the weekend, I was able to photograph a few new looks which I will be posting up on the blog in the coming weeks. One or several of the looks did feature one of my recent buys: the Giuseppe Zanotti ester studded heels which I snagged up from the Flannels clearance sale at unbelievably good price.

The full look of this snap has to be one of my favourites so far this year. Firstly because I love the style and cut of the garments and secondly because its an all navy look. Anyone who really knows me, will know navy is my all time favourite colour to wear.

The vast of majority of my wardrobe is filled up with navy bits. I seem to always lean towards the navy shades when shopping even when there are other several options of colours to choose from. These days, I have to make a conscious effort to steer clear of navy in order to give my wardrobe some variety but in some instances it can't be helped and navy trumps all.

I can't wait to share this look with you guys so stayed tuned because it will be coming up really soon up on the blog!

Checked Out In My Zara Scarf

I seem to have developed the penchant to create office style looks off late for reasons I dont particularly know why myself. For today's look, I grabbed a few oldies from my wardrobe coupled with a few recents buys to create another autumnal office look.

I am still very much in love with my checked scarf which I featured in one of my "Need Want Now" posts a couple of months ago. I just can't get enough of it right now and it's often the last piece of accessory I layer on to nearly all my looks to fight away the cold breeze out here in London.

MAC & Nasty Gal Collection

MAC have teamed up with Nasty Gal to release a four piece capsule collection of lipsticks and a nail varnish, set to be released in stores and online on 4th December. The lipsticks will feature a dark purple shade along with a burgundy/ shade and a rich crimson shade. The first promotional pictures for the lipsticks can be seen below.

I have to say I personally haven't been this excited about a mac capsule collection since their collaboration with Rihanna. I already have my eyes set on bagging the dark purple and burgundy shades. The red lipstick I will have to try on first to decide whether its worth adding to my ever increasing collection of red lipsticks. I don't think 4th December could come any sooner at this rate!

Styled Up For Work

Today's look is another stylish take on the work wardrobe. The kind of look that can you see you through the day to the late night drinking session after work. It was one of the outfits I wore into work last week when it wasn't so chilly down here in London.

I love wearing navy and as a result the majority of my wardrobe is full of navy bits so pair that up with my favourite colour in general, green and this is what you end up with!

The blazer gives the outfit that smart office look so simply remove it after work and then you are ready to hit the town.

Another Chic Look For Work

It's good to sometimes ditch the dark formal shades in favour of some brighter shades. Today's look is more of a relaxed approach to the work wardrobe, the strappy heels in particular reduces the formality of the look making it a great outfit choice for those dress down fridays especially.

Ripped For Fall

It's finally time to wave good bye to the warm temperatures and embrace the cold chills coming our way over here in London. Autumn has now well and truly arrived meaning it is time to drag out those coats from your wardrobe. Featured in this look, is an old coat from the Zara AW13 collection which I have thrown over what could be a summer style look.

Whenever the cold season comes upon us, I struggle to completely let go of my summer bits, so one way I deal with that is to throw on a coat over any outfit. It is the exact approach that I have taken in today's look and one that I apply for the most part during the autumn/fall season until winter arrives. Then, I really have to let go of my summer bits and drag out the knitwear pieces.

Now, heres a recent buy that I picked up from the Flannels sale, the Giuseppe Zanotti Ester Studded Heels. The price tag was ridiculously unreal that I had to have it in my collection and so I went ahead and bought it. I'm a lover of court heels so if I could, I would have them all in all colours of the rainbow, in different prints and textures. I just can't get enough of them and the tinniest detail can make all the difference so in my eyes you can never have to many court heels!

I love the gold studded detail on the heels which gives it an edgy look. I have to say, there is a certain quality about these heels that warrants the hefty price tag when compared to shoes off the high street. I'm looking forward to featuring these in my style looks which I will be sharing with you guys shortly.
