Halter The Night Away

There's something about the halter neck top that screams elegance especially a black piece like the one featured in the look above. I picked up this Grecian inspired halter neck from Zara a couple of months ago. I had planned to feature it on the blog back then when it was still available in stores to allow readers to pick up one if they wished to do so but for one reason or another didn't get round to posting up this look. The top did eventually end up in the AW14 sales and I have no doubt it flew off the shelves during then.

Its the kind of top that I would wear for a dinner date or a night out. The last time I wore it, I paired it with a pair of black jeans, most probably because I was heading out to eat and I need a loose top to shield my bloated stomach.

I wanted to try something new for the blog so I paired it with the ASOS leather skirt that I have featured in several style look on the blog. Considering both the halter neck and the leather lack any form of texture or printed, the studded Giuseppe heels were a perfect fit to add more character to the look. What do you think, do you agree?

I can never steer too far off the navy shades so after dabbling into some lighter neutral shades of mink  and cream for my last style look it's back to the darker shades of navy once again.  This time round I pulled out an old mini skirt and paired it along with a polo neck jumper and a blazer. I was undecided over the footwear choice so I figured the boots would be great for the day time offerings whilst the heels would be the perfect choice for a late night soirĂ©e. What is your take on that?

The midi skirts have become a firm favourite of mine over the last couple of years leading to me ditching the mini skirts I previously owned. I really cannot remember the last time I slipped on a mini but judging from this style outfit it makes for a great look so I may have to drag out more of my mini skirts from the back of my wardrobe. Plus with the spring weather soon to come our away, there's no better excuse to do so!

As you can see, I have left the navy behind in the closet for now that is and  I am going after a more subtle neutral shades. This look right here is for those chilled out weekend outings, if jeans are involved then it is always a casual affair in my books!

Need Want Now...Topshop Ghillie Courts

With my birthday coming up soon, I have put together a wish list and these gorgeous Topshop Ghillie Courts are right up at the top. I love the fact that these shoes are a mix between courts and mules. In my eyes its the perfect combination for the spring weather and I am hoping to own soon enough!

They exude elegance with an edgy twist and that is what I love about them, I can easily picture myself in them strutting along the streets of London.
