50 SHADES OF NAVY

No matter what the season, I always have a navy outfit up my sleeve ready to share. For the nth time this year, I have put together an all navy palette of clothes mixing a bit of the old with the new. With the sun out in London at the moment, there is every reason to bring the legs out and leave the heavy coats and jackets at home. Although I will say that I am currently loving the Zara long waistcoat.

Despite not buying all the navy pieces at the same time or from the same store, I am fortunate enough to have a number of navy bits that all the different garments colour matched exactly. I personally hate it when two different pieces of the same shade do not colour match, it defeats the purpose of wearing one colour shade in my eyes i.e. wearing an all black outfit but the shades of black are not consistent through out the look. Hopefully you understand what I mean or i'm just being anal as my friends like to say.

I could have left the long waistcoat at home but it is one of my wardrobe staples for the spring/summer season and so I wear it whenever I can and it was a stylish additional piece to add to the look. I loved it so, that I had to grab it in the off white version as well. For me it's just an additional piece to smarten up a fairly casual look.

Peep where to shop items in the look below:
Waistcoat - Zara long waistcoat (available in white)
Top - Jacques Vert (Mother's old something)
Skirt - Zara (SS14)
Shoes - Zara embossed leather court shoe (available in silver)
Hat - Whistles fedora felt hat
