Some days it's all about being comfortable and going for the flats instead of the heels. As much as I love heels and wish I could wear them all day, I can't brave it out all day everyday. I do inter change between heels and flats when in order to give myself a break. I know it's not often I feature flats in my looks and that's something I am considering changing in order to show you guys that there are a ton of stylish flats out there.  I often stick to pointed toe shoes because I love the silhouette it creates however I do make the exception when it comes to slippers and will go for a round toe shape.

This is the kind of look I would opt for on a dress down/casual Friday for work when the weekend is in sight. It's quite easy to put together a smart-casual outfit. The rule for a smart casual look is to have one piece of garment that be classified as a smart piece and another than can be seen to be casual. In this style post the shirt is the smart piece whilst the skirt can be considered to be casual given it's fabric composition and length and together they compliment each other to create a smart-casual look.

You could equally pair a casual top along with a structured skirt or tailored trousers to create a smart-casual look. The decision is entirely yours to take. I tend to go for a smart top and pair it with a casual bottom but either works well to achieve the smart-casual look. What are your thoughts on the smart casual look?

Peep where to shop items in the look below:

Skirt - Zara
