For my first outfit from my Christmas lookbook which will be up on my Youtube channel later today, I put together an outfit that would be ideal for a Christmas black tie/ dinner. I rummaged through my closet to put together some old pieces to create this look so unfortunately I do not have the direct links to the pieces featured in this post although I have included the links of similar designs to help you re-create the look should you wish to.
Rather than opting for a long slinky or ballgown dress, I went for the option of pairing two separates being my halter neck top that I picked up from Zara year ago and the AQAQ (formerly known as AQUA) lantern mesh skirt and together they create an elegant ensemble ideal and appropriate for a black tie. I do love the shoulder cleavage and the hint of legs on display through the mesh skirt which teases some skin without going overboard.
This is a look I have worn a couple of times to a birthday dinner and a christmas soirée and one I will most probably wear again, maybe switching up the top in exchange for another. You can peep how I wore the lantern skirt in this old post on the blog.
