LFW AW16 DIARIES: DAY ONE...THREE FLOOR, STEVEN TAI, EDELINE LEE, MIUNIKU & ASTREA

THREE FLOOR

The Three Floor presentation was one of my favourites from London Fashion Week. I loved the colour palette, silhouette and lace details. I could quite easily see myself wearing each and every piece from the collection.

The team took a  floralistic approach to lace with embrioderies flourishing across the body and adorning the neck along with soft pleating, billowy ruffles and ethereal sheers matched with guipure lace. The colour palette for the collection consisted of rich colours such as ink blue, plum, deep orchid and black.

STEVEN TAI

The Steven Tai AW16 collection can quite simply be referred to as the epitome of granny chic and the dressing of the models at the presentation further emphasised this look. Although it has to be said the collection is not strictly for the older woman. The collection was full of elegant chic pieces that I could I see myself wearing to formal weekend function of some sort.

EDELINE LEE

I loved the Edeline Lee collection for its contrasting shapes and silhouettes. I love the large cape style dresses along with the fitted pieces that framed the models bodies beautifully further enhancing the the beauty of the female body.

My favourites pieces from the Edeline Lee AW16 collection has to be the last couple of photos featured above. I would probably swap the chunky boots for high heels and thats about the only change I would make to how I wear these pieces. I love that its wearable and very much to my style taste.

MUNIKU

I loved the colours and shapes from the Miuniku AW16 presentation. I was particularly fond of the midi skirts featured in the collection, I loved the zip and button detail on both skirts and not to forget, the fabric composition too. I was also quite drawn to the jumpers, from the abstract shapes printed over them as well as the cut out detail featured on a number of the jumpers.

Much like the SS16 collection, I felt as though the inter space retro vibe was still very much prevalent in the Muiniku AW16 collection. The colour palette featured bright shades and shapes with the designer sticking to her signature looks.

ASTREA

Astrea is a Parisian leather good designer with a firm focus on producing structured leather handbags and clutches. The designs often features leather pieces sewn together in contrasting colours that is sure to compliment whatever colour piece of clothing you are wearing. The Astrea bags are ideal to add pops of colour to your outfit and given that most of the handbags feature a handle and strap you either tote them around by its handle or quite simply sling it over shoulders.
