TOPSHOP SASHAY AWAY AND BOOKWORM LIPSTICK REVIEW & SWATCH

TOPSHOP BOOKWORM & SASHAY AWAY LIPSTICK

SASHAY AWAY LIPSTICK ON THE LIPS

Topshop's 'Sashay Away' lipstick is a brown tone lipstick that appears to have a satin finish that works as an excellent nude lipstick for me.  I love how the  sashay away lipstick glides on to my lips with complete ease with a full and proper coverage.  It has fast become my go to nude/brown lipstick in my collection.

I first lined my lips with MAC's chestnut lipliner  before applying Sashay Away to achieve the finish you can see in the pictures above. You can watch my video review in the clip below to see how I achieved this finish step by step.

SASHAY AWAY & BOOKWORM VIDEO REVIEW BELOW

BOOKWORM LIPSTICK ON THE LIPS

Bookworm is described as a matte lipstick but judging from the finish it doesn't quite appear to be matte. Although having said that, it really is a lovely crimson shade of lipstick and much like sashay away, it glides on to my lips with complete ease. The colour is highly pigmented and shows up on my lips pretty well without me having to vigorously apply the lipstick on. This to me is a good indicator of a good quality lipstick.

This was my first time trying on the Topshop lipsticks and I was pretty impressed with the results. I am usually apprehensive about trying out beauty products from known fashion retail brands because I feel the quality is not often not up to par and pales in comparison to the known beauty brands. This however is not the case when it comes to the Topshop lipsticks.

I would recommend you have a go at swatching  the lipsticks when in store so you can determine for yourself how amazing the lipsticks really are.

BOOKWORM & SASHAY AWAY LIPSTICK SWATCH

Despite Bookworm lipstick not appearing all that matte on my lips, when swatched against sashay away it is clear to see that it is rather quite matte. Which leads me to think that it may  be the moisturising lip balm I apply on to my lips before applying bookworm lipstick that may somehow demattify the lipstick giving it that slight shine.
