A Change in Direction

I am very much aware of the fact that I don't share a great deal about myself on this blog as I tend to leave that to my Youtube. I try to stick to a topic of fashion and beauty on here but these days I find myself wandering if that is enough. I'm not saying that I am going to quit writing about the fashion and beauty but I am considering taking a step into a different direction when it comes to my blog.

When I look at Kuiya's Kloset, I want the blog to be a representation of my world. I want the blog to embody me as a person. For me the word 'Kloset' does not merely imply an actual closet but rather my world and my world as it stands is made up of a lot more than just fashion and beauty. While I will continue to write on fashion and beauty, I want to branch out and cover new areas whether it be of a personal nature or a social issue that I want to share with you guys. I want to not only branch out on the topical side of things but to also experiment with the way in which I present this information to you.

I will be honest in saying there have been many times when I have considered quitting the blog because it has not yielded the results that I so badly wish for but then I am reminded by how badly I want to succeed at this that the very thought never becomes a reality.  I would like to say this is all down to my strong mindset and belief in myself but in reality I also have to thank my close knit group of family and friends who continue to spur me on in dark times.

I used to worry myself crazy over my readership and ask myself if enough people were reading my blog or if I'm really just wasting my time. It all sounds quite trivial really but in the world of a blogger or in my world these mattered to me so greatly that I allowed it to suck the joy out of my life. These were issues that I allowed to trouble me greatly until I had a sit down meeting with Abi, CEO and Founder of The Apartment. She opened my eyes to focus on what mattered greatly when it comes to the blog and it was from then on that I decided to make the change to not focus greatly on the readership. While a growing readership matters, it is even more important to produce quality content that is reflective of Kuiya's Kloset.

The blog as you know it will be going through some changes that I am going to label 'growing pains' as I strive to find my voice in this blogging world. I really want to tap into my creative side a lot more when it comes to the presentation of the information I share with you. I am going to push and challenge myself to make this blog the best it can be so don't be too alarmed if you see something out of the ordinary on here on your next visit.

The other change I will be making to the blog is to niche my style posts and stick to more of a classic look, the style I often favoured and one that represents me.  The past year I have allowed by style to be diluted through collaborations with some brands that were not always the right fit. Going forward I  aim to only work with brands that fully represent Kuiya's Kloset. With that said I have adopted one of autumn winter '16 trends with the bell sleeved top to create this autumnal look.

I was captivated with the off the shoulder trend earlier this year and it completely dominated my summer wardrobe  and I have the feeling, the bell sleeved trend may have the same effect on my winter wardrobe. I just can't get enough of it off late. I cannot tell you the amount of times I have already worn this top so do not be surprised if you stumble upon more style posts featuring this autumnal trend.
