Mink Shades & Embroidered Details

I'm mixing a bit of the old  (the mink coloured coat and skirt) along with the new (embroidered shirt and fur skin shoes) as per usual. Embroidered details are very much on trend at the moment. You just can't escape it, no matter what store you walk in, you are likely to see a few embroidered pieces hanging off the rails.

I was a bit unsure about this new trend to begin with but I guess the more I saw of it, the more it grew on me. The Shein embroidered shirt featured in this post has been my first embroidered buy so far this season. I'm now loving it so much that I am thinking to add grab some more embroidered pieces to my wardrobe.

My style advice to wearing the embroidered detailed piece is to keep all other pieces of clothing plain and simple to enable the embroidered detail to stand out and be the focal point of your outfit. I went for a rather feminine approach with this shirt opting to pair it with a slinky mink coloured skirt and coat. I'm all about having fun with my style so rather than wear the shirt over the skirt or tucked into the skirt, I chose to tie it at the front and wear it as a makeshift crop top.

If you pop over to you'll see the shirt in it's original form. I also have a youtube video where I tried the embriodered shirt on so you can get an idea of what it looks like on my frame. I bought the shirt in a size medium as opposed to a size small because I wanted it to be oversized and baggy because that was the look I wanted to go for.

The other new piece into my kloset are these Banana Republic Donnie fur skin sling back shoes that I absolutely love, not only for its design but also for its wear. It is incredibly comfortable much like all the other Banana Republic shoes that I have bought over the years. They may not quite be winter appropriate but that will not be holding me back from wearing it out every now and again even in the cold temperatures.

My trusted Jas M. B. bag has pretty much been my go to bag for nearly all outfit looks this past year. It's also the perfect addition to carry my essentials and complete my outfits including this mink shades and embroidered details style post.

In case you are wandering if you have seen this shirt elsewhere, chances are that you probably have.  The Shein embroidered top also happens to be an exact replica of a Zara Shirt that is currently in stores but is selling at a fraction of the price over on I wasn't aware of this at the time when I placed my order and I'm not sure if that would have made a difference to me deciding to go for it either.
