Summer Thrills with Red Gingham Frills

My love for the gingham print continues and it is one print that I plan to wear a great deal of during the spring/summer season and into the colder months. My current obsession is probably fuelled by the fact that the gingham print is back on trend and all over the shops so it is impossible to get away from it. Also when the likes of Zara continue to release really stylish pieces like this red gingham print skirt, it makes it difficult to keep away.

I picked up this Zara gingham print frilled skirt a weeks ago when it was colder and I have patiently been waiting for the right time to wear it out. It is very much a spring summer piece given the light weight fabric. The design of the skirt is stylish and very much on trend but the fact that it is unlined means it is not an ideal piece for the colder months which is a shame because I would like to wear it all year round.

I gingham frilled skirt is a versatile piece and can be paired with so many different pieces. I dressed up the skirt by pairing it with a white collar shirt but I think a grey v neck t-shirt would be a great separate to dress down the look for a more casual affair.

I chose my green Banana Republic fringe heels to wear with the red gingham skirt plus because as you know red compliments green and its the perfect excuse to through on my colourful bits when it gets warmer.
